Status for Women – An Irish newsmagazine – Issue #1 – March 1981

We first featured Status Magazine back in October in this blog post. I didn’t then have any copies of the magazine but the post featured a few adverts (from Magill) for it.  But since then, I’ve now got my hands on actual copies of issues 1 and 2. (Thanks Sinead!)
This post is about issue 1 which issued in March 1981 just weeks after the Artane, Stardust tragedy. I’ve included a scan of one of Nell McCafferty’s harrowing reports on the aftermath of the fire.
The other articles I’ve scanned in below are  “Irish Men on Irish Women” and one page from its fashion feature along with a selection of adverts from issue 1. Click on the thumbs to enlarge.
