













This is a selection of 12 photos, with the original captions, taken by the Slate magazine at various Dublin nightclubs in the early 2000s.
The Slate was free, and it was fabulous.
The editorial of the first issue explained that it wanted “to make Dublin better by abandoning any morals we can think of, regularly engaging in blatant hypocrisy and telling anyone who doesn’t like it that they can take a flying fuck”
And true to its word, that’s what it did, for an amazing run of 25 issues.
