i still wear my best clothes and get all gusseted up for flying… can’t stand it when folk wear sweatpants and smelly plimsoles for aviation…they rob me and themselves of a sense of occasion… those ladies in the departure lounge look fantastic…they have just the right attitude for flying… they’re not complacent

I was on a family day out in the early ’70s when we went to Shannon Airport, just to look at these aeroplane thingys that we thought we’d never be inside – to be brought there as a 7-yr-old back then would be like bringing a child to a space station today.
God knows how many times I’ve flown over the years and every visit to an airport is a big deal and makes me giddy.
