We’ve scanned this feature from the August, 1968 issue of Scene, Ireland’s International Magazine. Interestingly there was another Irish magazine also called Scene in the mid 70s, (which we’ve already featured content from) but, from what I can see, they are not connected.
We’ll have more from Scene in future posts, but for now, we can tell you it was published monthly out of Wellington Rd, Dublin 4. Herbie Brennan was the editor, Jim Fitzpatrick was art director and Walter Pfeiffer looked after photography – he took all the photos scanned in this post.
No writer is credited for the feature (below) on how the loveliest girls in the world still walk down Grafton st.

21 Jan 2017Haha, great to see this retro stuff. For my sins I was the art director of this magazine for a while, the ‘Dollies of Dublin’ logo is mine too. Ruth was a mate back then also Marie Lignell and Dorinda Kavanagh. The other girl ‘Maeve’ was one of the hottest girls in Dublin too but her name has been changed to protect the guilty. Jim
