8 Adverts for Clarks Shoes, Ireland from 1960s & 70s

oct-67-donald-davis-hat clarks-shoes-1967

All these adverts are for Clarks shoes which were made in my home town Dundalk, a town with a strong tradition of shoe making and which employed over 1200 people around the time of these adverts. Dundalk is mentioned in every advert above.

The first 3 Black & White adverts above are from Autumn 1967.

The Blue Clippers advert is from 1972.

The next two adverts, both with headless women, are from 1970.

The children in the playground is also 1970 and is credited to Irish Litho Studios Limited.

The final one – the kid’s party – is also 1970.

This is our second Clarks advert special. Back in August 2012 we posted these 3 fantastic adverts from their Men’s shoes range, 1967
