At the bar, during the Spanish game last night, I overheard 2 Ould Fellas muttering about the younger people in the pub, supposedly watching the game yet constantly playing with their mobile phones. One of the guys was the spit of the guy on the cover of this book.  Actually the two of them were.

Published in 2007 by Hachette Books Ireland, this gem of book has 180 pages, and was put together by Declan Lynch with Arthur Mathews (both featured previously in this blog). More on the book here.

    Just bought a copy for €4.69 (don’t know what that is in old money) at that new-fangled play.com for the poor ould fella in my life. It’s a pity Veritas has closed down.
