Our Live Show Charting the Rise of Irish Pop Culture

Ireland Goes Pop is a live storytelling and multimedia presentation that explores the evolution of pop culture in Ireland from the 1960s to the 1990s. Presented by Brian McMahon and Sinead Kenny of http://www.BrandNewRetro.ie, the show offers a fun, nostalgic journey through Ireland’s musical, fashion, and television history during this transformative period.

The show utilises a rich array of original magazines, artifacts, and personal anecdotes to illustrate how Ireland transitioned from a more insular society to one increasingly influenced by global pop culture, and indeed, how Ireland became a key player in global pop culture. The show aims to entertain the audience, provide them with an immersive experience and a deeper understanding of how pop culture shaped Ireland’s modern identity.

The one-hour show has played to packed houses at Dublin Culture Night, and at Culture Date with Dublin 8 and Phizzfest festivals.
