    • Yeah, me too!! The 12-Bore still looks classy, nearly 50 years on. Although I have to admit that the hair cream wouldn’t be of much use to me these days *cough*.

      And those black boxes of Carrolls with the crest in gold. My mother gave my father one of those for a present around 1968 or so. I still have the box. Not filled with No. 1s, though. I think they’re made in Hungary nowadays.

  1. Glad you’re back. I was worried you had given up. I agree the 12 bore is brilliant but the pervert with the pipe in the Glen abbey ad made me laugh aloud.

  2. Is that Des Bishops father in the Max Factor advert?Looks quite like him and he was working as a model at the time.
