

I scanned and posted a selection of images from this August, 1965, Harper’s Bazaar on the blog back in November last year. If you haven’t seen it, click here to view it. Like the photos above, they were taken by David Montgomery, in various locations around Ireland.
One of the photos in the first post, featured a photo outside a Cork City Pub. A mission to identify this pub/corner became known as the #RetroCorkMystery with a group of enthusiastic Cork tweeters. I hope to bring news of a happy conclusion to that mystery very soon.














Wow… I’d always heard that Hitler had some sort of Irish connection but it looks like the proof is in photo #8.
Maybe it’s just mee but on first glance at photo #9 below it looks like she’s flashing her thigh.
Well o.k…. maybe it’s just me.

Eileen. It was! And I thought I had updated info here. But obviously not. Some very good Cork people on Twitter solved it. Pub and building long gone. Will update post later in week with full details but here is a pic of location https://twitter.com/birdiebabbage/status/190182649145462784
