Elaine, from the UK, recently got in touch with BrandNewRetro. Whilst hanging out on the Kings Rd, London, back in 1981, the folk from i-D magazine took her into a studio for an impromptu photo shoot. Her photo then appeared in i-D as part of their Straight Up series. She’s lost her copy of the mag (it was either issue 2 or 3) but came across our earlier post which contained a few selected scans from issue 3. I’ve now scanned in the remainder of the photos from issue 3 – see below. Alas, no sign of Elaine (she must be issue 2). Unlike Boy George who is in issue 2 & 3 (below) and at this stage of his life, had yet to start Culture Club.
